COLORADO SPRINGS

For the end of the year trip, we went to Colorado Springs for the upper classmen and returners. We only had one day to do thing and it was still lots of fun. First we had gone to the Air Force Academy. We had a virtual tour of the place. The video mainly showed what the students went through for the first year of basics. After the video we walked a trail that led to their church and it was a beautiful sight. We also got to see some of the student from a distance. Later we went to the Garden of the Gods and they had all types of beautiful rocks in different formations to where they looked like something. One formation was called the kissing camels because there was a hole between two rocks and they also had humps like a camel. After the park, we went to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and it was amazing! making our way throughout the whole zoo so we could see everything, because the zoo was on a mountain. It made us very breathless to walk faster. After touring the whole zoo, we got on a lift that took us over the zoo and you could see everything in the distance and it was so beautiful. To finish off the day, we went to the mall and I was able to but my mother and brother their birthday gift. Colorado was such an amazing trip. The weather was great and even though we spent more time on the bus than in Colorado, the trip was still a great experience that I will never forget.- Desiree Garcia
