Students take part in understanding data and tracking progress. Students receive information on their progress and contribute ideas for their own learning goals. Parents may also access student data on grades, attendance, cafeteria account balances, and other information through the online platform, Skyward portal. Each teacher has a website with information about assignments, upcoming field trips, spelling words, project due dates, classroom newsletters, and pictures. Fairview Elementary School made large strides in a short period of time, with a convergence of influences that included a strong principal, a collaborative staff, targeted focus on instructional challenges, an intervention block, and routine analysis of data. Fairview exudes pride in their progress and the speed of change.
