2014 Officers and Trustees
intended to be interactive and flexible enough to allow for easy updates.
• The fall issue of our Naturally Kiawah magazine will take a cue from our review of the 1975
Environmental Inventory of Kiawah and feature a look at Kiawah Yesterday, Today and
Tomorrow.
• An updated Naturally Kiawah Guest Edition magazine, geared for Island visitors, is in the
works.
• Ongoing efforts will be made to use the Naturally Kiawah Demonstration Garden in Night
Heron Park as an effective teaching tool.
Resource Development: We rely on Kiawah property owners and businesses with Kiawah
interests for support. Because our focus is limited to Kiawah and its environs, we qualify for
very little in the way of public monies.
• We will begin to explore developing new streams of revenue.
Special Events: Special events are a primary way to raise money and awareness.
• The Kiawah Conservancy will host one major fundraising event this year. The new event,

dubbed the Legacy Ball, will be held at The River Course on September 28, 2014. Designed
to be a truly lovely evening, the Legacy Ball will replace both our Bobcat Ball and the fall
Science Fellowship Gathering.
The Kiawah Conservancy is not a membership organization. Our Trustees, staff and committees work diligently to represent the best environmental interests of all
property owners. We appreciate our loyal supporters and look forward to raising awareness across the Island.
