126 Chatsworth Neighborhood Council ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ What are Neighborhood Councils? • In 2001, Los Angeles City Charter reform led to the development of a Citywide Plan for Neighborhood Councils. Under the Plan communities organize and elect a board of volunteers to represent community members before City officials. • Chatsworth Neighborhood Council was certified in 2003 and has official standing at hearings, in City budget discussions, in the Council District 12 office and with the City departments that provide the services funded by the taxes and fees we pay.
