The senior forward from Gainesville, Ga., leads the PBC in scoring with
23.5 points per game which is on pace to be tied for the third-highest
single-season average in league history. Her scoring average also ranks
third in the most recent NCAA Division II national statistical rankings.
She also leads the PBC in free throw percentage and is eighth in rebounding and blocks. A two-time PBC Player of the Week, Hill scored 30
or more six times this season including a season-best 37 against Georgia
Southwestern in the regular-season finale. She had nine double-doubles on the season.
Hill was instrumental in leading North Georgia to a top-25 national
ranking for eight consecutive weeks. The Nighthawks’s banner year was
capped with an appearance in the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional in
Hickory, N.C.
Georgia College’s Shanteona Keys Named Academic
All-American
TOWSON, Md. – Junior Shanteona Keys (Roswell, Ga.) of the Georgia
College women’s basketball team was selected today to the Division II
Capital One Academic All-America Second Team. The only Academic
All-American in Bobcats women’s basketball history, Keys is being honored for both her work in the classroom and on the court in consecutive
