UM’s Brown, USCA’s Zimmerman Named NABC
All-Americans
Montevallo’s Troran Brown and USC Aiken’s Ronald Zimmerman were
named All-Americans by the National Basketball Coaches Association
(NABC).
Brown, a 6-foot-2 guard from Phoenix, Ariz., is the fifth NABC NCAA
Division II All-American in school history.
Brown is the first member of the team to be named a NABC NCAA
Division II All-American since D.J. Rivera following the 2011-12 season.
James Hall became the Falcons’ first NABC NCAA Division II All-American following the 2004-05 season, while both Marcus Kennedy and Greg
Brown were named All-Americans following the 2006-07 season.

Brown was also named the Peach Belt Conference Player of the Year
and a first team All-Peach Belt Conference selection, and both a first
team NABC and Daktronics NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region selection following his junior season.
Brown played a key role in helping the Falcons (26-6) reach the
NCAA Division II Sweet 16 before Montevallo fell to USC Aiken on the
Pacers’ home court in the Southeast Region championship game. The
