a result of Miles’s selection to the CoSIDA academic all-district team, he
was eligible to advance to the Capital One Academic All-America team,
which marks the second achievement in three years for the men’s soccer team under head coach Phil Hindson. He was one-of-two Peach Belt
Conference athletes to be given the accolade.
The New Zealand native played and started in 16 games to combine
for 1409 minutes on the field. The junior posted the game-winning goal
in the overtime win over Montevallo and led the team and was fifth in
the PBC with nine goals.
He notched a season-best two goals and two assist in the shutout
win over Mount Olive, while also registering one goal and two assists in
the upset win over then-No. 3 Lander. He also logged 60 shots, 21 (.350)
of which were on goal which is the league’s sixth best, and has tallied 22
points (eighth in the PBC) this season.
He was named to the preseason all-PBC team in 2013, all-PBC team,

PBC All-Tournament team and most recently garnered a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for the second-consecutive year.
Last year, he was named to the NCCSIA All-State team, All-PBC Preseason team, All-PBC team, PBC All-Academic team and was a member
of the PBC Presidential Honor Roll. In in freshman year, he claimed eight
post season awards including PBC Freshman of the Year and spot on the
PBC Presidential Honor Roll.
Clayton State’s Toure, Lander’s Durand Named Daktronics Men’s Soccer All-Americans
KANSAS CITY, MO – Clayton State senior forward Alhagi Toure and Lander
junior midfielder Kevin Durand were named NCAA Division II Daktronics
All-Americans. Both players were placed on the third team. The 2013
awards are the third time in the last four years that two PBC men’s players
have been named Daktronics All-Americans.
Toure, who was selected to the All-Southeast Region squad last
month, becomes Clayton State’s seventh men’s soccer player to receive
All-American honors at the NCAA Division II level since 2000.
A senior from Decatur, GA, Toure led the Peach Belt in goals scored
and in points during the 2013 regular season with 18 goals and 38
