Nestled in southern Bergen, Wallington is densely populated and known for its diverse residents, many of whom enjoy taking part in Polish traditions. An annual highlight is the town’ s holiday parade in December that features fire trucks and ambulances from surrounding communities competing to see who can decorate their vehicles in the most festive manner.

Community-oriented Washington Township is a mostly residential municipality, where residents are passionate about maintaining the town character and preserving neighborhoods. Still, residents can get everything they need at a centrally located and convenient shopping center, Washington Town Center, which includes a grocery store, movie theater, several restaurants and more. The 3-square-mile township is home to several parks with recreational spaces. The Washington Township Recreation Club has an Olympic-sized outdoor pool, game room and picnic area.
