RIDGEFIELD
ESTABLISHED 1892 ridgefieldnj. gov
Before Ridgefield became known as a commuter town with easy access to the New Jersey Turnpike and Route 46, it was a quiet artists’ colony established in 1913 by Man Ray, Alfred Kraymborg and Samuel Halpert. To this day, certain names of streets – Sketch Place, Studio Road and Art Lane – exist to pay homage to the colony’ s history.

RIDGEFIELD PARK
ESTABLISHED 1892 ridgefieldpark. org
Known for having the longest running Fourth of July parade in the state, Ridgefield Park is a small town with a lot of history. Named after the area’ s terrain, many residents have lived in the village their entire life, choosing to raise their children in the same town they grew up in. The Board of Commissioners, who govern the village, pride themselves on remaining a non-partisan government, in which the Mayor serves as the head of the commissioners.
