LODI
ESTABLISHED 1894 lodi-nj. org
To this day, the demographics of Lodi are still of heavy Italian influence. Homes built in the Italian style of stucco, semi-brick and columnar facades still abound. In fact, the name Lodi itself traces its origin back to a bridge of the same name in northern Italy, where Napoleon won a battle against the Austrians in 1796. Its downtown has enjoyed a renaissance with new shopping developments replacing longtime industrial properties

LYNDHURST
ESTABLISHED 1917 lyndhurstnj. org
The strong sense of community Lyndhurst possesses is one of the town’ s best characteristics. Heavily populated by many of Italian-American descent, the town is chock-full of Italian eateries and gourmet delis. Two train stations on NJ Transit’ s Main Line put Lyndhurst, a small community, within short reach of the big city. In summer, the community sponsors a Music Under the stars concert series at Town Hall Park.
