Dr. David Christensen is aBergen County native who attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and completed his general practice residency at Hackensack University Medical Center. Hehas been practicing dentistry for more than 28 years, and it is apriority to make his patients feel welcome and at ease.

This commitment toawarm, friendly atmosphere and patient-centric care is paired with the practice’ semphasis on cutting-edge technology, specifically the integration of 3D printing and Computer-Aided Design( CAD). Both Dr. Christensen and Dr. Ryan Burke, aprosthodontist inthe practice, have always had aninterest in computer science and wanted to find away to build that interest into their dental careers. Learning and incorporating CAD came naturally; it now enables more efficient treatment ofpatients with reduction of time and costs. Because the doctors can use CAD design and manufacture 3D restorations in-house, they can reduce costs and save patients time, setting Christensen Dental Associates apart from most other dental practices. Dr. Christensen is renowned in this field and lectures on CAD design and 3D printing to fellow dentists, teaching them how incorporation of this technology is efficient instreamlining traditional workflows.
Dr. Christensen explains his philosophy:“ One goal ofthe office is to foster a positive, light atmosphere. Everyone is fearful of going to the dentist, especially those worried about their condition. Westrive to reassure patients that we’ re here to help. When patients ask,‘ Is this the worst you’ ve ever seen?’ Itell them Ihear itall the time, but they never are the worst. And in most cases, the worse they are, the easier they are torestore.”

Christensen Dental Associates also specializes in cosmetic dentistry, including whitening, veneers, CEREC same-day crowns, and dental bonding. Dr. Christensen isaproud member of the SPEAR advanced training institute. In his free time, Dr. Christensen enjoys skiing, going to comedy shows, and spending time with his wife and three children.
