Dr . Lieb ’ s path startedwith exceptional academics and impeccable training . She graduated SUNY Buffalo magna cum laude and was amember of the Golden Key Honor Society and the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society .
Dr . Lieb went on to obtain her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine where she graduated the top of her class . Building upon research she conducted during medical school regarding skin cancer , she continued with aone-year prestigious research fellowship at The Massachusetts General Hospital , where she also shadowed at Dana Farber Cancer Institute . After completion of her internal medicine internship at The Mount Sinai
Hospital , she undertook a fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where she researched dermoscopy and confocal microscopy . Then , during her three-year dermatologic residency at Columbia University School of Medicine , she gained experience in both adult and pediatric dermatology , as well as cutaneous oncology , rheumatology , cosmetic and surgical dermatology .
Dr . Lieb ’ s next stop after passing her boards was alarge , private practice in Ridgewood , New Jersey , where she ultimately was the Associate Medical Director . During this time , she became recognized as a top provider in many areas , including : the laser treatment of acne scars , vascular lesions , blood vessels , rosacea , fine lines and wrinkles , tan sun spots , sun damage , tattoo removals , unwanted fat , hair removal , and scars . In late 2016 , Dr . Lieb founded the Skin & Laser Center ofNJwhich originated in Mahwah , and isthe culmination ofher years oftraining , her philosophy of supporting patients , and her commitment tothe use of cutting-edge research and technology . “ This brought me full circle . I can now focus on complete skin health ; I can concentrate on the early detection and prevention ofskin cancer , aswell cosmetic dermatology .”
While research and technology are constantly evolving , The Skin & Laser Center stays atthe forefront ofnew developments . The providers meet each month to review patients and research . Especially notable is the fact that the practice uses SpotDoc which combines full body photography , dermoscopy and AI to aid the providers in identifying subtle changes inskin lesions that might not benoticed with the naked eye . This device is asignificant advancement towards early detection of skin cancer .
While Dr . Lieb is committed to treating and preventing disease , she is just as proud ofthe cosmetic side of her practice .“ It ’ s nice to be able to help people ’ s confidence . Sometimes looking better can make you feel better . You hold your head higher , and it has amedical benefit .” Dr . Lieb is exceptionally proud of how the practice has grown and the direction it has taken , where she addresses overall skin health .
