MSP Communications asked Bergen dentists tonominate colleagues in the county they would choose in seeking dental care for themselves. The Super Dentists research team investigates further, searching for exceptional dentists to complement the results. Candidates are evaluated on indicators ofpeer recognition, professional achievement and any disciplinary history. Dentists were grouped into seven practice areas. Those with the highest scores from each grouping were invited to serve ona blue-ribbon panel and asked to evaluate the candidates in their practice areas. Finally, dentists who acquired the highest total points from the surveys, research and blue-ribbon panel review were selected for inclusion in Bergen’ sTop Dentists. Ofcourse, no list is perfect. Many qualified dentists who are providing excellent care for their patients may not be included on this year’ slist.
