CHARRITO’S
From the Caribbean blue walls, to the comfy,
rustic Mesquite chairs, to the sweeping waterfront
views and exotic Mexican flavors in their dishes,
diners at Charrito’s might feel they took a mini
vacation. Uzzie Arias has expanded on the tradition
of Oaxacan cuisine, known for its chocolate-infused
moles, from his parents, Filiberto and Genoveva,
who opened their first restaurant 25 years ago.
From Oaxaca, Mexico, the couple brought this
regional cuisine to New Jersey. The guacamole made tableside is a must for starters. Enchiladas
Nortenas stuffed with choice of beef or chicken topped with salsa verde have been a tradition
since 1992. The pork enchiladas glazed with Mexican spices are also popular among diners.
Charrito’s serves up an amazing Mexican brunch starting at 11 a.m. Bartenders also mix up great
sangria and margaritas for those just wanting a cocktail to watch the sunset over Manhattan.

THE HUDSON CAKERY
Head pastry chef and owner Jennifer
Bunce knows how important your
special event is to you and your
family – whether it’s a celebration of
a new baby, wedding, anniversary
or birthday. Bunce was a successful
event planner, but when it came to
cakes she wanted sweeter options for
her clients. She decided to turn her
hobby of baking and cake decorating
into a career and attended the
Institute of Culinary Education in New
York City. Today, The Hudson Cakery
offers traditional made-from-scratch
cakes decorated with a modern flair
that reflect the personalities and
tastes of her clients. Bunce and her
creative staff can also create small
dessert cakes, themed cupcakes and
cookies in any design. All inquiries are

HAVANA ON THE
HUDSON CIGARS
Havana on the Hudson Cigars’ tradition of
fine cigars goes back three generations with
its roots in the Santa Clara region of Cuba
where, for 30 years, the Flores family operated a tobacco plantation. It’s there where
Carlos Flores learned the art of cigar rolling.
When he moved to Miami after fleeing the
Castro regime, he rolled his cigars on his
kitchen table, and those cigars became the
best-kept secret of the area. Today, that tradition is carried on by William Flores along
the Hudson River. Each cigar or “Flor De
Flores” is still hand-rolled today and bears
the stamp of the premium Flores name.
Whether for a novice or sophisticated smoker, Flores’ cigars are created to “blossom on
the palate.” The facility offers a cedar-lined,
walk-in humidor, a spacious smoking lounge
and outdoor patio, all with a state-of-the-art,
air-cleaning system and private humidor
lockers for members. The facility also offers
rentals for special events. 1807 Willow
