JAMES J. BRADDOCK PARK
James J. Braddock Park is named after the 1930s World Heavyweight
Boxing Champion and longtime resident of Hudson County, who was an
inspiration during the Great Depression. With a land area of 167 acres, it is
one of the largest and most beautiful of Hudson County’s parks. Home to
the 16-acre Woodcliff Lake, the park offers great catch-and-release fishing
and turtle watching. It is a birders paradise with hawks, snowy egrets,
ospreys and red-winged black birds. Don’t forget your fishing poles and
binoculars. Enjoy great views of Manhattan, nature trails, picnic areas and
a dog run. 79th St. and Bergenline Avenue

JERSEY MEATBALL CO.
The story behind Jersey Meatball Co. and its balls actually begins 50 years
ago when Vincent Centrella began his journey into the world of pizza and
meatballs, opening Sole’s and Presto Pizza & Meatball Subs. With his
insp ired cooking style and old-school recipes, he became a New Jersey icon.
Centrella passed down his cooking techniques and infused recipes to his
son, John, who is keeping the Italian Sunday dinner alive at Jersey Meatball
Co. Menu items include traditional spaghetti and meatballs, pork balls with
peppers, vegetable balls with Tuscan beans and whole wheat penne in a
light garlic olive oil sauce, rice balls in a spicy pink sauce, and more. Let
John do your Sunday dinner. Orders must be placed one day in advance.
