K “ id U” not, this was the best birthday, so far, for 5-year-old Josiah Wu, who celebrated a superhero-themed day at Kids U in Paramus. It was also a happy last hurrah for the PlayQuad, which closed its doors in April after a 10-year run. “He loved the staff and the place,” says mom Christina. It was all smiles for the 25 partygoers as they navigated their way through obstacle courses, game stations and various gym activities before settling down for eats and treats. ● MOM TIP “Ask friends for help and do what you enjoy. If you like to do DIY decorations or bake your own cake, then do that. Otherwise, spend where you can and get as much help as you can. I had my friends help specifically with taking photos and watching my 2-year-old toddler.” 14 NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2017 | OD “WE ARE A FOOD ALLERGY FAMILY, WITH BOTH KIDS HAVING MULTIPLE FOOD D ALLERGIES.
