lizabeth and Chris have known each
other ever since grammar school.
“We had always been friends,”
Elizabeth says, “but the sparks didn’t
fly until we both moved back to New Jersey
after attending college in separate states.” She
asked Chris on their first real date — a New York
Yankees playoff game. Chris caught a foul ball
and gave it to Elizabeth and she knew he was a
gentleman after that, she says. Five years later,
the couple planned a trip to California, their
first vacation together. Chris surprised Elizabeth
when he proposed at their favorite restaurant
on the cliffs in Big Sur. “There was a paparazzi
photographer there to capture it all,” says
Elizabeth, who was also surprised to see both
their families back at their hotel. They had trav-
eled to California from New Jersey to help them
celebrate their engagement.
