After amajor Indiana University win in the NCAA basketball tournament, Sari went out to celebrate at some bars inthe Lower East Side with her friend. Her friend knew ofabirthday party going on, so they went to it. There, Sari asked if anyone was single, and the birthday girl told her“ the one in the glasses was asingle Jewish lawyer,” Sari recalls.“ So, Iwalked up to Jordan and said he looked familiar and asked what college hewent to. And from there, the rest is history.” The proposal came after Sari’ ssister and brother-in-law had just moved toWestchester from the city.“ She wanted to plan abrunch with me and Jordan, so the four of us went to Bondurants,” Sari says.“ Mysister was about four months pregnant atthe time, and at the end she asked if she could go back to my apartment to use the bathroom.” Back at the apartment, Sari opened the door and saw there were candles and rose pedals everywhere with champagne and pictures displayed.“ I had no clue what was going on,” Sari says. Then, Jordan got down on his knee and proposed. Sari’ ssister and brother-in-law recorded the entire thing. Jordan’ ssister popped out of the closet; he had given her the keys to their apartment to set everything upfor him while they were atbrunch.“ It was so special to have family there,” Sari says.“ Jordan had asurprise party planned for us later that day atthe bar next door to our apartment. It was great to see everyone and share the special day with our closest friends and family.”
