you helped us set a record with more
than 240,000 votes — nearly double
the previous record of 123,000 set two
years ago. The two-round, eight-week poll
featured 135 categories, including Food
& Drink, Health & Beauty, Places to Go &
Things to Do and Shopping & Services.
During Round One of the poll, nearly 18,000
readers voted by nominating their favorites.
The top eight nominations in each
category then moved on to Round Two
in a head-to-head format. The second
round had nearly 40,000 participants.

• The first round — voting by nomination — started Sept. 3
and ended on Oct. 4, 2019.
• The second round featured the top eight nominations
from the first round in a head-to-head vote that
started on Oct. 14 and ended Nov. 8, 2019.
