THE VOTES HAVE BEEN COUNTED FOR
THE 11TH ANNUAL BEST OF BERGEN
READERS POLL
S
ome iconic Bergen businesses, many
of them family businesses for
generations, remained at the top of
the rankings among readers. The
(201) community seems to the love the
continuity of a family business and the long
traditions of quality and service. We have a
few 11-time winners who embody this
sentiment and have been crowd pleasers
for decades.
There are some new businesses and
restaurants on the scene this year as well.
(201) readers love to dine out and know all
the best places for every type of cuisine.
Particularly competitive this year was the
best burger category which changes winners
from year to year. Korean food, particularly
Korean barbecue, is also experiencing a
surge in popularity.
It is always exciting for the (201) team
to analyze the results and count the votes.
As the poll grows from year to year, it is
imperative to examine every vote –
particularly the close calls – to make sure
voting has been accurately reviewed.
Choosing a cover for this issue is one of
the highlights of the year. This winter, we
called on our friends at Campgaw Ski Resort
to provide the location. Mother Nature was
kind, delivering just enough snow for our
photo shoot, and the crew at Campgaw
showed great hospitality to our production
crew on what was one of the coldest days
of the year.
We hope you enjoy perusing this year’s
results and will again be reminded of all of
the wonderful people and places that make
Bergen County so special.
CONGRATULATIONS
TO ALL OF THE
WINNERS!
