With great and lengthy anticipation, summer
2014 is finally around the corner. Now that the vexatious cold weather is behind us, we can finally say
hello to our long lost and widely missed friend—the
sun. Given the rising temperatures and the bright
outdoors, our winter-ridden closets are starting to
look a bit drab. So, fashion extroverts, it is finally
time to rejoice! The trends of summer 2014 are
promising to be the most bold, colorful and creative
ones yet. In terms of this segment, I’ll be covering popular trends of the upcoming sunny season.
Bold Lips
Beautiful, glowing skin for the summer only calls for
one thing- a bold lip color. Whether you like pastels,
neons, or classical shades, there is a bold lip color
that suits every side of the spectrum. Whether you
go matte or glossy, a bold lip is only destined to amp
up your look. If you’re looking for a bold lip color to
spruce up your summer uniform, I’ve found that MAC
Cosmetics has the greatest variety and quality. Ruby
Woo and Rebel are two of my personal favorites.
Dresses/Maxi Dresses
When it comes to effortless summer attire, maxi
dresses are the perfect wow factor. As a trend that
came to life in 2010, maxi dresses are still being
considered as the yearly summer staple. Wear it at
the beach, out with friends and at get togethers and
festivals with statement accessories. You can never go wrong slipping on a breezy, yet fashionable,
maxi dress. From bold prints to monochrome ensembles, there is a maxi dress for every occasion.
