HARVEY ’ s mIssION

Let ’ s explore the awesome power of the Sun by making a solar panel . OK , not one so large it could literally be installed on your roof , that would be quite a big ask from us , but rather a small one that – on a sunny day – will actually produce some warm water !

PHASE 1 :
Head to the recycling box and find a large piece of thick cardboard from a strong packing box , or a piece of wooden board . You want a piece at least 30 cm square , but a larger panel would be even better . Cover the upper surface of the board with kitchen foil fixed firmly in place using strong glue . Leave to dry .
