Just Do It

I ’ m a firm believer that finding time and making time are different . You can find all the time you want but making time means intention . When you shift the lens to intentionally making time to do something , you are making it an important priority . When something becomes a priority , the likelihood of getting it done dramatically increases .
Brad gave an example of Thanksgiving . His typical Thanksgiving is always great , especially when his wife Regena cooks , but the Thanksgiving where they were on an overland trip , cooking their turkey out in the wild , ranks as one of his most memorable Thanksgiving holidays — by far .

Invite Your Family ( If You Can )

Brad said something that resonated with me about bringing your family along : “ It ’ s not always easy , but it can be done .”
Why did this hit home for me ? As a fellow Navy veteran , this way of thinking is a grounding ethic of the few who had the opportunity to serve our country in the military . Brad , a retired Master Chief , means it when he says it ’ s not easy . He also means it when he says it can be done .
Everyone can find time but only a few actually make time to do something about it . Don ’ t be the former . Brad was motivated for adventure because he wanted his children to experience something he never had a chance to do while he was a kid himself . Dig deep , find your why , and just do it !
