APPLE CUSTARD GALETTE
Winter vibes combined with fresh sweet flavors are perfect for this time of year . The custard adds a delicious , irresistible touch to this rustic pie !
INGREDIENTS
DOUGH :
1 cup Wonder Mills flour ¾ stick margarine 1 tsp sugar 2 ½ TB cold water Dash of salt
FILLING :
2 apples , sliced 2 TB custard Cinnamon Sugar Cooking spray Confectioner ' s sugar
DIRECTIONS
Combine dough ingredients by hand . Refrigerate for 30 minutes .
On a floured parchment paper , roll out dough into a 10-11 inch circle .
Smear custard in the center of the dough , leaving a 2 inch border around the edges . Place apple slices on top of custard and sprinkle cinnamon .
Fold up the edges of the dough and pinch into pleats . It doesn ' t have to be perfect , and the dough might crumble if it ' s rolled too thinly . Don ' t worry ; it ' s part of the look !
Spray border with cooking spray and sprinkle sugar generously over the dough and fruit . Bake at 400 for 55-60 minutes .
Sprinkle with confectioners ' sugar .
