FINANCIAL RESOURCES
SF Lends Leads the Way While there are many support services offered to contractors within the city and county of San Francisco , there are also several resources available to Local Business Enterprises ( LBEs ) that offer grants and loans in relatively small amounts at below-market interest rates .
One of these valuable and free resources is SF Lends , an initiative of the City and County of San Francisco Treasurer and Tax Collector ’ s Office . SF Lends aims to connect small businesses to affordable loans and lines of credit for their dayto-day cash flow needs . These financial products may be a great fit for small businesses certified as LBEs who have contracts with the city .
Through financial institutions such as Heritage Bank of Commerce , US
Bank , BMO , and California Bank Trust , contractors may apply for micro loans , quick loans and loans through a small business diversity banking program . Loan amounts range from $ 10,000 to $ 1 million for qualified borrowers .
The financial products are publicly available , so anyone may apply . SF Lends referrals and resources are available to all Certified City & County of San Francisco Local Business Enterprises ( LBE ’ s ) with active contractual relations with the government – direct or subcontracted .
Once referred for financial products , contractors will undergo the financial institution ’ s standard application and underwriting procedures . [ It is important that you establish a relationship with your financial institution and that you have a contact person at your bank ]. Upon review
