FTER years of hardship and struggle, music producer
hip hop recording artist, David Modikoa, has finally
opened up about his childhood lifestyle. The former
gangster who is building a career in the music scene.
He unfold his life-story through memoir song called ‘Can’t keep this pain’ in which he shares
painful detailed about his upbringing as streetwise boy who slept in the bridges of Hammanskraal
due to hardships at home. He finally dived into the life of selling drugs just to survive but he
managed to exit scene before he was too deep. He would hustle for money until his hands were
sore but by the grace of God he was saved and now he is leaving a clean and honest life.
PAVING PATH TO STARDOM
Mad Dawg is expect of rejection from society and life. He
only believe in himself and his God, he started a home
record label called Connect Music where he only records few
friends and himself. Between 2012 till 2017 he undergoing a
dry spell whereas he was busy with people who ended
nowhere until through a friend called SPHIWE introduced
him to Sibusiso Makama who is the founder of Mahlelela
Entertainment Production. Reality and life judged him by the
way he approach and accepted himself. He is proud to have
experienced what he has experienced because it opened his
eyes and ears. He don’t conform to what society wants
because he believes that he is different with a unique
purpose and character that most people fail to understand.
He was almost robbed his creativity and passion by the life
cruelty but he is back on track now.

throws your way, you can get over it and move
forward. No matter how much you’re hurt-even
if it’s a public way you can use that heartache
to help other survive similar humiliation. His
