Marvin Wilson riding DELIGHT'S PERFECTION*
and George Will riding DAN'S GO BOV bullied
neck-and-neck for the honors in this class. When
the final workout of 13 horses was ended, il was
Marvin and PERFECTION' who were declared
ihe winners. Marvin's horse got two first-place
votes and one reserve vote, while George and
DAN got a first-place tie and two reserves. It
was close all the way and both horses made ex
cellent shows. Jack Moorman and DELIGHT'S
FREE 'X EASY kept the pressure on the first
two horses while turning in a solid show to
finish third. All three top finishers had strong
support along the rail and this class certainly
provided the spectators with plenty of thrills.

In one of the most unusually-tied classes of the
1969 Celebration, Gary Edwards and MIDNIGHT
DYNAMITE won the blue before a cheering
crowd of 10,600 fans. One judge tied Gary first,
the other judge did not tie him, and the referee
placed him third. It all added up to a blue ribbon
for a very proud and happy fine young horse-
man. The reserve award went to Marvin Wilson
riding DELIGHT’S PERFECTION. Although the
judges were spread apart in their first-place
choices, Marvin was the unanimous pick for re
serve. The third-place award went to Doug Wol
aver riding GO BOY’S BLACK BARON. Buddy
Black and SIR GALAHAD held down the num
ber four spot.
