STATE FAIR OF TEXAS HORSE SHOW CLIMAXES SOUTHWEST SEASON Walking Horse classes were held during the Stat Fair of Texas Horse Show, Dallas, Texas, October . through 7. This was a ^ RINC tenders and they all showed well to mot °f t0p cor exciting class. " snowed his hors well and defeated a fine class of junior horses. The Three-Year-Old event saw SHADOW’S BLACK RAIDER, with John Seabourne up for Mr. and Mrs. John Sharp of Garland, take an impressive blue over a good class. BLACK RAIDER lived up to his name and the fancy black stallion indicated that he may really have "top horse” potential. Young Kim Sears, riding for Sears Stables, took home two blues with SHADOW’S SWEETHEART, a fine mare with a lot of class and bloom. She proved a real sweetheart in the preliminary class and the Juv­ enile Stake. Walking Mares showed a lot of class and it was JETT’S REWARD, with Raphael Craft up for L. H. McBee of Tyler, that took home the blue in this event. The State Fair of Texas Horse Show has all the ear­ marks of becoming a major Walking Horse event. Management is very interested in our breed and our participation, and went all-out to provide the VOICE with everything we needed.
