Mack Motes Rides to 1969 Three-Year- Old Championship SHADOW'S ROYA FLUSH Was Dealt a Winning Hand The first time that most of us recall seeing Mack Motes in the showring was probably at the 1963 Celebration in the Three-Year-Old Stallion Class. Mack was showing GO BOY’S CRIMSON TIDE and man aged to stay with it until the final workout. He kept getting better and better, and attracted quite a bit of acclaim, tying sixth in a great class. Mack was work ing for the .John Price Stables in Jasper, Tennessee at the time and, although he was only in his early twen ties, he had amassed a lot of experience as a young horseman. Since that time Mack Motes has slowly made his way through the professional ranks to achieve a meas ure of success. He, like other trainers, has had his ups and downs, but he profited by his mistakes. He now has his own operation in Eagleville, Tennessee and appears to be well on the way to becoming one of our more successful trainers.
