MIDNIGHT MACK K SIRE OF TWO WORLD GRAND CHAMPIONS
One of our youngest trainers in Missouri, George Blades, has all the prospects of having a fine year. George is trainer at the Blades-McCrosky Stables at Republic, Missouri.
Mr. and Mrs. Lundy Mack have three head in training with George. SUNDUST’ S SCARLET LADY is a classy bay two-year-old fifty that is a mighty good prospect. Another good mare that belongs to the Macks is a black three-year-old by BLACK ANGEL’ S MACK I < out of a MERRY GO BOY mare. GO BOY’ S JET SMOKE is a bay gelding, also owned by Mr. Mack. He was a popular horse in the juvenile classes last year.
George also has the Champion Amateur Horse and the High Point Horse of the Southwest Missouri Horse Show Association in the barn. KEETER’ S PINUP was shown by owner Bill Pickering, Jr. of Rogersville to 11 blues during the last season
LeRoy Franks of Missouri is a fine person and a true promoter of the Tennessee Walking Horses up here. He has a three-year-old black stallion out of BLACK ANGEL’ S MACK K that is coming on good and has plenty of walking ability. He also has a beautiful chestnut stallion, MAGIC PEACOCK, that is wellknown and is better than ever as a four-year-old. CRICKET, Mr. Franks’ six-year-old black mare, is being readied for Mr. Franks’ son to show.
George has hopes for a black four-year-old mare by MIDNIGHT PLEASURE R. G. This mare is owned by Edward Bowen of Springdale, Arkansas. John Whitten of Carthage also has an outstanding young mare. This sorrel three-year-old is by SHEPHERD OF THE HILLS and out of a MIDNIGHT SUN mare.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Weshusing of Camdentown are newcomers to the Walking Horse world. They have a three-year-old sorrel mare, MERRY GAL, by SUN’ S DELIGHT and out of a GO BOY mare in training with George.
Two more colts with lots of ability are owned by Dr. and Mrs. Terry Burge, Forsyth. JO’ S KNIGHT STAR is a nice, big, black colt by ROCKAWAY BLACK KNIGHT and out of AMBER STAR. STARFIRE’ S SHADOW is by SHADOW’ S STARFIRE and out of LEE’ S MIDNIGHT GLORY.
Jim Powell of Republic also has a two-year-old, MERRY BOY’ S DOTTIE, in training here. This sorrel filly is by MERRY DUST SHADOW( shown as NIGHT- TRAIN).
G. H. Hollaway of Neosho has a terrific black fouryear-old stallion by EBONY MASTERPIECE and out of a GO BOY’ S SHADOW mare. This horse is as pretty as a picture.
George McCrosky owns LIMOUSINE’ S DELIGHT, one of the best aged mares in our part of the country. He also has a gray four-year-old stallion that George plans to show quite often. SECRET’ S MOONLIGHT GAMBLER had a good season last year and is much better now.
