The lady who keeps things going at the Murray Farm, Mrs. Barbara Wiggins, served as clerk along with Mrs. Monte Carpenter. The top priced horse to go through the sale was MR. FANTASTIC. This aged stud was purchased by Joe Vann Clayton of Arab, Alabama from the Fashion Two Twenty Stables of Aurora, Oh. Fashion Two Twenty was also the consignor of the second highest priced horse going through the sale, HIGH CHAPARRAL. This horse was purchased by Kenneth Newbern of Orangeburg, South Carolina for $ 6 , 100 . A total of 600 horses was entered in the sale, with 413 being sold, 150 no-saled and 37 not making an appearance.
