ENTHUSIASM BUILDS FOR 56th ANNUAL MURRAY FARM SALE APRIL 15-18 YEAH . . . YEAH — Tom Yokley, brother of Auc tioneer and part owner of the Murray Farm Sale Pete Yokley, is pictured as he registers a bid at last year's sale. If this kind of enthusiasm will get the job done . . . the 1969 Spring Sale should be a good one! Enthusiasm is running high as the Annual Spring Murray FarmSaleap- proaches. Scheduled for April 15th through the 18th, the sale will again be the first stop for buyers looking for top stock as breeding and show season builds up. As of this writing, Mrs. Barbara Wiggins reports that entries are coming in fast and that perhaps they will have the largest number of fine horses consigned that they have ever had. Long considered a ’’must” event for the early season, the annual Murray Farm Sale becomes the gath ering place for Walking Horse en thusiasts from coast to coast. The little town of Lewisburg generally overflows to other area cities to hold the crowd that comes for the sale, and usually upwards of five thousand people can be counted on to attend the sale. According to Mr. Pete Yokley, they will have a fine consignment of good brood mares of all kinds. Many mares will be in foal ready to have colts by top sires, while others will be open and ready to breed. Still others will have colts by their sides and buyers will be able to get a fine package of both mare and colt. Also of interest will be a fine selection of young hor ses either already broke and ready to train, or already in training. Still others will be interested in the vari ety of proven show horses that will be offered by top training stables from around the country. Just a few of the fine horses being offered are: HIGH CHAPARRAL, MR. FANTASTIC and SUN’S DIXIE DELIGHT from Fashion Two Twenty Stables; MR. DILLON, from Ken tucky’s Diamond Stables; Jeffcoat’s SUN’S WALKAWAY; Cypress Acres’ GO BOY’S SPUNKY DAY; Lyn Mor gan’s SHADOW’S MAJOR MAN, and Frank Parnell’s DARK MAGIC P.
