SAM PASCHAL ADDRESSES HUNTSVILLE SADDLE CLUB
The newly organized Huntsville Saddle Club, Inc. of Huntsville, Alabama enjoyed a double treat on the evening of January 21. Premier Walking Horse trainer and ambassador of the Walking Horse business, Sam Paschal, appeared as guest speaker and narrated the fine Howard-Spencer film of the 1968 Celebration. In addition to offering his comments on the various stakes shown on the Celebration film, Sam gave many words of encouragement and advice to the Club and its members, particularly the younger members. He described the success that a saddle club in his home city of Murfreesboro. Tennessee has had since its organization and the great pleasure that the families associated with it have enjoyed. The meeting was attended by nearly 200 persons.
The Huntsville Saddle Club plans to have an active show season in 1969. The members hope to promote at least one professional show each year. At the present time, an active effort is being made to locate a suitable site to be purchased as a permanent show ground.
The rapid growth of saddle clubs in the North Alabama area in the last few years has created a vast market for horses that might otherwise be difficult or impossible to sell. It is estimated that in the City of Huntsville alone there are approximately 500 horses, and it is obvious that most of the owners of these horses will sooner or later be prospects for other, perhaps better, horses. There are few things that those in the " horse business” can do to help themselves more than to continue to promote saddle clubs in their areas.

Trouble Areas

ABSORBINE

For over 70 years, Absorbine has proved effective in relief of bog spavin, windgall, ringbone, sores and bruises. That’ s why at the first sign of trouble, experienced horsemen put Absorbine to work.
Absorbine can be applied right on strained tendons and other trouble areas to reduce lameness and swelling. It instantly starts drawing out soreness. Never causes loss of hair or blistering, either. And it’ s antiseptic. No other liniment has Absorbine ' s combination of fungicidal ingredients.
Only a few ounces of Absorbine in a pail of water makes an excellent wash for cooling out your horses. There’ s no better way to keep horses in top condition. Buy Absorbine at druggists or wherever veterinary products are sold.
