INDIANA ASSOCIATION NEWS by Mrs. Donn Perry NOW. OVEN HERE . . Randall Rollins of Atlanta is pictured showing VOICE representative Larry Low man the lay of the land in front of the new Sugarloaf Farm Stables. Now under construction, the new stable should be finished by early spring. Walking Horse enthusiasts in and around the Atlan ta, Georgia area are very much aware of the activity of the new Sugarloaf Farms Stables. This new stable is nearing completion and should be ready for occu pancy by trainer Tommy Howell sometime in the early spring. Located on a beautiful twelve-hundred- acre spread called Rollins Ranch, the stable will have facilities for over twenty horses. There will be living quarters in the barn for Mr. Howell, as well as several helpers, and there will also be quarters for overnight guests. Located in the middle of the barn facing the road and the Celebration-sized ring is a beautiful lounge that will permit visitors to see horses worked both indoors and outdoors. Rollins Ranch is located just off Highway 85 east of Atlanta with a turnoff at the old Peachtree Road. Owner Randall Rollins has spared no expense in mak ing this training facility one of the finest in the nation and it will certainly be a credit to the Walking Horse breed and the name of the popular Sugarloaf Stables. At present trainer Tommy Howell has about twelve horses in training, including several top winners shown last year. They will probably be adding more horses to their string of amateur and juvenile stock and will certainly make themselves known when the gate opens for competition. More about Sugarloaf later.
