This horse has become synonymous with amateur competition for past several years. His 1968 victory was his second world crown, having also won it in 1966 with owner Burt Daugette riding. MOON GLOW, JR. has been shown sparingly this year but all indications are that he is in excellent shape and should be ready for the Celebration with Burt Daugette again in the saddle. crowned undisputed juvenile champions last year. Judy has shown her quite frequently this year and suffered her first defeat in several years at the Shelbyville P-TA show. They came back strong the following week, however, and indicated that they are again getting ready for the Celebration. They continue to improve as the big show approaches.

SETTING SUN’ S APOLLO 1968 World Champion Walking Pony
Always a popular contender, SET­ TING SUN’ S APOLLO entered the ring last year as a favorite and reached the top with a fine victory at the Celebration. With owner Lynn Doughty riding, APOLLO was handed a defeat at Mobile( of all places!) but managed to prove himself championship calibre at Montgomery in November. Since then he has been shown only three times and is undefeated this year. Lynn and APOLLO have made several exhibitions this year, and all reports are that he is " better than ever.” Trainer Billy Brantley says they will be back.
