Of these two, SKIP’ S GO BOY was rated number two for the year 1968 by the Alabama Horseman’ s Association, and GO BOY’ S SHUG BEASLEY was rated number one for 1967 by the AHA. Both axe working better after this past winter’ s work. SKIP is out of a BROWN AL LEN mare, and SHUG is out of a WILSON’ S ALLEN
JR. mare.
One of the best mares in the Alabama Circuit is BARBARA’ S INK SPOT. She is a big black mare with a lick to match, and is by SUN’ S MERRY BOOGER and out of WINTON’ S LADY. David showed her successfully to the number two rating for 1968 by the AHA and she is still going strong.
David has two fine two-year-olds for the coming season. One, owned by Dr. and Mrs. Chitwood, is a big bay stud named BOOGER’ S SENSATION. He is by SUN’ S MERRY BOOGER and out of a BILLY SUN DAY mare. This horse has a bold way of going with a big front end and a back end to match. Mr. Tom Wilkes has a two-year-old black stud by SKIP’ S GO BOY in training with David. This horse is almost an exact replica of his sire. He has the lick, speed, and head-shake desired to make a top show horse.
This season David will be showing a junior horse owned by Dr. and Mrs. Chitwood. He is a big sorrel stud with perfect conformation. David broke him late in the season as a three-year-old and he is proving to be a terrific three-gaited horse. By SUN’ S MERRY
