When the final decision was made a deserving and proven GO BOY’S ROYAL HEIR and Donald Paschal were the champions, with THE ENTERTAINER and Joe Webb reserve. Wink Groover, trying the impossible and almost doing it, tied third on ACE’S SENSATION with GO BOY’S BLACK ANGEL and Charlie Bobo fourth. Bobo and his mare proved a lot of people wrong by battling the top three all the way and never giving an inch. THE ENTERTAINER and ROYAL HEIR both put out a great effort and the eight-year- old black stud and amateur champion of 1968 was a deserving winner. FINAL 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7.
