WALKING STALLIONS, FIVE YEARS
i /' The most eagerly awaited preliminary of the Celebration was hampered by a sloppy track but the horses and riders came on as strong as possible. Sweeping the honors on all three judges ' cards was ' GO BOV ' S RO \ AL HEIR and Donald Paschal. This great former Amateur Champion proved his ability by staying on the rail and performing all three gaits. Reserve went to THE ENTERTAINER and Joe Webb. Last vear ' s Junior Champion was up to par and was in the battle all the way. Tying third was SENSATIONAL SHADOW and Wallace Brandon. This horse made a remarkable show considering that Wallace only had him for three weeks prior to the Celebration.

^ WALKING PONIES, RIDERS 14 AND UNDER
One of the greatest little horses of the breed, SETTING SUN ' S APOLLO and Lynn Doughty put on a flawless performance to win the blue. Trainer Billy Brantley had this pony in peak form for this class and Lynn gave him a ride that will not soon be forgotten. The reserve tie was awarded to LITTLE EVIL. Billy Rambo did the chores in the irons on LITTLE EVIL and a good job he did, indeed. Tying third was LITTLE BIT O ' TROUBLE and talented little Lissa Walls. Lissa is small in stature but when she is in the saddle she is a tall rider.

PRIDE OF SPRING and Gayden Schrock put in another of their patented blue-ribbon shows to win the blue with the votes of two judges. Gayden and his horse have proven their ability over the years and this victory is just reward for years of hard work by this team. The reserve tie went to SUN ' S PLAYBOY and W. B. Cherry as they captured the first place vote of one judge. SUN’ S PLAYBOY is another proven amateur horse who always gives a good account of himself in the ring. Rudy Meyer and EB ONY ' S BOOSTER were the choice for third with a solid show in all three gaits.
