Throe entries in this class attracted a lot of
crowd enthusiasm with the proud sires leading
some of their better-looking offspring. Winning
the blue was the popular GO BOY'S SHADOW,
owned by Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Bailey. The re
serve award went to RODGERS PERFECTION
owned by Gribble, Thompson & Short. The
third and final tie went to GO BOY’S HEAD
MAN owned by Bill Conner. This final class of
the night was the highlight of the evening and
capped off a most successful evening for the
Celebration.

TWO-YEAR-OLD WALKING FILLIES
Wink Groover won his first of four Celebration
blues in this outstanding class of fillies. Wink
and JUDGES’ CHOICE defeated some of the
best two-year-olds shown in years with a solid
performance tying first on two judges' cards.
This colt sold for the highest price ever paid
for a iwo-year-old at the GLL Barn Party last
January, bringing S27.500. The reserve award
went to TIGER LILLY and Bob Cherry. This
filly is the sister of one of the Two-Year-Old
Stallion Champions of the 1967 Celebration,
TIGER BAY. Tying third was the popular Mack
Motes and SUN'S SORORITY ANNE.

CHAMPIONSHIP WALKING WEANLING
This class attracted some of the best-looking
young stock seen in the Celebration ring in
many years. The quality of the colts on hand
at this Celebration emphasizes the improved
breeding now taking place in the Walking Horse
industry. The first place tie went to WINSTON’S
BLACK LABEL for owners Mr. and Mrs. Ray
McEwen of Lynchburg. Tennessee. Reserve tie
was won by DELIGHT’S CAPER for Mr. and
Mrs. J. Mac Carter of Murfreesboro, Tennessee,
while the third place award was captured by
GO BO^ S CROW X ROYAL and owners Jones
& Williamson of Murfreesboro. The variation of
the judges' cards points out the quality of the
entries and the closeness of the class.
