NOTHING SAD ABOUT THEIR "BLUES" - BIG SHOT’S T BIRD and Jim Babb are shown accepting one of the five blues they have won this season. The team is really going places in 1968! The old saying, "One picture is worth a thousand words,” was never more true than when applied to this month’s front cover picture. This beautiful full- color unretouched photograph of BIG SHOT’S T BIRD says what every horseman wants to hear without the aid of a retoucher’s brush. This photograph was recently entered in a contest in Memphis and came away with the top honors. It is not only a masterpiece of photography, it is visible proof that T BIRD is back and going strong. It is hard to put into words what this picture means, but the story of BIG SHOT’S T BIRD will add im­ mensely to the meaning of this picture. The T BIRD story began at the Harlinsdale Sale in 1963. Billy Robinson had asked trainer Billy Brantley to find a horse for his daughter Kathy to ride, and with this in mind Billy purchased a bay stud colt by SUN’S BIG SHOT.
