The South Carolina Horse Show Association closed
its most successful year with an elaborate High Point
Award Banquet at the Wade Hampton Hotel, Colum
bia, South Carolina on October 26, 1968.
The head table was adorned with two white Walking
Horse heads mounted on tall wrhite containers using
white gladiolus, white chrysanthemums, and pampas
grass. Editors from the leading horse magazines were
guests of the Association and were seated directly in
front of the head table.
This has been a most successful year for the Horse
Show Association. After much work, this Association
has grown to be one of the strongest in the country.
Awards were given to horses for the most points
won during the year. The following were the winners
in the Walking Horse division:
