An undertaking of this nature involves an immense
amount of work on the part of a lot of dedicated peo
ple. The show is run by an organization officially nam
ed the Celebration, Incorporated. The manager of the
show is Mr. Sam Gibbons, who has occupied this posi
tion for many years. Sam is ably assisted by a Board
of Directors consisting of Mr. William C. Tune, Presi
dent; W. L. Parker. Vice President; P. J. Scudder, Sec
retary-Treasurer; E. L. Adamson, Director; H. J.
Thompson, Director; and H. C. Tilford, Director.
The production of the Celebration — and that is
what it is: a production — involves the year-round
effort of a lot of people. The grounds are maintained
by a full-time maintenance man who adds additional
people to the staff as the yearly show approaches.
