Finally Available CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION HALF WALKERS We would like to acquaint you with'the purpose of the NATIONAL HALF-WALKER BREEDERS’ ASSOCIATION OF THE UNITED STATES INC. 1. Basically a Half-Walker is a horse that is a cross of a grade mare to a Registered Tennessee Walker Stallion, a grade stallion to a registered mare or an animal which has the true natural gaits of the Tennessee Walker and its ancestry unknown. 2. Throughout the country there has been a demand for a horse that can be ridden under Western Tack, but that has the easy gaits of the Walker. More and more grade mares are being bred to Registered Ten nessee Walking Stallions with the hope that the colt will carry the natural gaits of his sire. 3. With the great demand for this type of horse, we felt that a registry should be established for this particular horse. Soon, the association plans to sponsor classes for the Half-Walker under Western Tack as well as under English Tack. 4. The NATIONAL HALF-WALKER BREEDERS’ ASSOCIATION OF THE UNITED STATES. INC. has no intention of detracting from the TENNES SEE WALKING BREEDERS’ AND EXHIBITORS’ ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA. We recognize the TENNESSEE WALKING BREEDERS’ AND EX HIBITORS’ ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA as the only registery for Purebred Tennessee Walkers. Our intention is to build up, promote, and recognize the fact that the true Tennessee Walking gaits, whether in a Half-Walker or a full Purebred-Walker, is in deed what makes the “World’s finest pleasure horse.” The only difference in rating the gaits of the Half- Walker from the ratings of a Purebred-Walker is that we rate the Flat-Foot Walk 40%, the Running- Walk 20%, the Canter 20% and Conformation 20%; with definite emphasis on the Flat-Foot Walk. The horse which is to be shown under Western Tack will not have more than two (2) pads under his shoes, nor use boots, chains or balls to help him in his gaits. The weight of the shoe is unlimited. Under English Tack weighted boots may be used with no limit to pads or weight. Hoping that you will be as enthusiastic about this new registry, we are looking the future when our association will be largest in the country. FOR The long anticipated Half Walker Association has now been fully organized and duly incorporated. Reg istry papers can now be provided for the world's finest pleasure horse . . . the Half Walker.
