WEANLING FILLIES An all-day rain subsided just in time for the early six o ’ clock beginning of the first night of the 29th Annual Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration . The first class in the ring attracted 42 entries , with the first of 63 blue ribbons going to GO BOY ’ S LIVING AIRE and Jimmy Hackett of Carthage . Tennessee . Tying reserve was a fancy-stepping filly named MIDNIGHT GLAMOUR GIRL owned by Kimball Piano and Organ Company of Jasper , Indiana . The third place tie went to EBONY ’ S SCAT LADY , owned by Mr . and Mrs . E . P . Mc- Farlin of Murfreesboro , Tennessee . The judges had a difficult time tying this class due to the large number of fine-looking young fillies exhibited . This year there were fifteen more entries in this class than in 1966 .

The reserve award went to SHADOW MIDNIGHT GHOST for Mr . and Mrs . J . Mac Carter of Murfreesboro , Tennessee . This strolling little colt exhibited plenty of natural ability in capturing the red ribbon . The number three entry in this class was STATELY ’ S BLACK SHADOW , owned by Wiley Messick and Son of Murfreesboro . The well-bred horses in this class indicate that the future of the breed is promising , to say the least .
