SUN’ S DELIGHT is no stranger to the Walking Horse public. This proven horse achieved instant fame and lasting glory on Saturday, September 7, 1963 when he captured the premiere title of World Grand Champion Walking Horse.
At that time, his trainer, Sam Paschal, was asked to compare him with the other two World Grand Champion he had ridden and he said“ Well, I have been told by many people that SUN’ S DELIGHT was the greatest horse that has been at the Celebration in twenty-five years, and I agree with them.” Sam’ s comments came shortly after his winning ride on DELIGHT and emphasized the feelings of this great showman who has ridden many top horses throughout his illustrious career.
Fray Escue of Covington, Kentucky purchased SUN’ S DELIGHT just nine months prior to his crowning tri-
