Circle R Stables Young Ronnie Spears is a “man on the move” in the horse business and his job as head trainer at the nee R Stables in West Point. Mississippi, seems secure. Ronnie has made a lot of progress in the past two years and this vear has come up with a real surprise with GO 1 FLYING CLOUD, a top age stallion owned by Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Eld ridge of Oviedo, Florida. Ronnie has had him for about six months and is doing very well. Watch ’em! In the two-year-old bracket he is working DELIGHT S ERRAND BOY. a fine sorrel stud owned by Circle R. He also has RED’S LITTLE TAR BABY, a really fine black filly owned bv Billy Busby. She has won three blues this year. CLOUD’S JET STREAM, an exceptional black two-vear-old stallion by GO BOY’S FLYING CLOUD, shows great promise. He is owned by Mr. J. P. Eldridge, and has all the ability of his sire as well as the fine breed ing of his dam. He is out of the same mare as GO BOY’S REVENUE. (We found out also that he was not for sale.) Another headliner of the Circle R Stables is GO BOY’S FANCY PANTS. This big chestnut stallion is about as gentle and cooperative as a stud can be for an amateur and Pete Robinson has been getting along well with him. He goes on Tuesday morning just like he goes on Saturday night, with a big bold motion and a head shaking lick. We saw HELL-A-POPPIN, a good black mare owned by Becky Majur of Calhoun City and Ronnie Spears, and she appears to be headed for a lot of blue ribbons in the future. Hershe.il Pence from Melborn, Florida has a fine black Junior Mare in training named RAMBLIN ROSE and Paul Thompson of Raleigh, Mississippi, has a three-year-old filly by HANDSHAKER that has won two blues and a reserve. Her name is HANDSHAKER’S FLAPPER and she is a chestnut. The old standby of Circle R Stables, GO BOY’S CHALLENGER, is still being shown by Linda Robinson DeShaso (recently married), daughter of Mr. and Mrs Kenneth Robinson. Hershel Talley
