A CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR THE MAYOR OF BETHLEHEM Your editor was recently privileged to make a trip to the Holy Land with Dr. Ralph E. Baney of Kansas City, Missouri. It was a business trip for Dr. Baney, who maintains a Mission and a Hospital in Bethle hem, but it was strictly pleasure for me. Keeping in mind that this part of the world has long been famous for their fine Arabian horses, we were prompted to make a "good will” gesture to an official of Beth lehem on behalf of the Walking Horse enthusiasts of America. We present ed to Elias Bandak, the Mayor of Bethlehem, a beautiful Tennessee Walking Horse trophy inscribed with his name and salutations from Amer ica. We were pleased to note that this trophy is now in a place of prominence in the Mayor’s home, along with many other mementos that he has received as an official of Bethlehem. C. Bruce Spencer, Editor of the VOICE, is pictured presenting to His Excellency Elias Bandak, Mayor of Bethlehem, Israel, a beautiful Walking Horse trophy during a recent trip to the Middle East.
