The Newberry County Shrine Club held their second annual horse show Saturday , July 8 . There were a large number of horses present and the walking classes were full to the brim . The show had twenty-nine classes in all . The participants were well-dampened in body but this didn ’ t seem to dampen the spirits . Everyone had a wet time but the ring was crowded with spectators who were braving the weather to see the many horses .
The results of the walking classes were as follows :

Sonny and I made a quick trip to Mississippi this last weekend and we saw some mighty good horses at the stables we visited . Sonny Posey of Flora has a barn full of horses and an unusual number of good mares . Jack Moorman has a barn full of great horses at his Moorman wu • CS * n ^ ,° resb Miss . His stables is located on the hiteway Farm of Jim Lackey and it is a sight to behold .
