lined a program of breeding that of necessity carried him to Middle Tennessee to find the blood he wanted for his mares . After one season of this he decided , it would be to
his advantage , and indeed the overall advantage of everyone on his area , to have a top breeding sire available in
Georgia . His findings were based on the cost of shipping , breeding , care and feed and many other costly items involved when a mare was transported to Middle Tennessee to be bred .
Further depth was added to his program when he contacted Mr . Frank M . Talbot and his trainer Mr . Boyd Hudgins regarding the prospects for a major breeding farm in Macon . They were so enthused that they insisted on being directly involved in the program . The Fieldstone Farms , under the capable management of Mr . Hudgins for several years , has made a substantial contribution toward the expansion of the Walking Horse business in middle
Georgia and has been directly responsible for renewed interest in this breed throughout the South . Without doubt , the relationship that was formed with Mr . Talbot and the Fieldstone Farms will have a bearing on the long term success of MACK K ' S HANDSHAKER and his breeding career in Georgia .
As was previously announced , HANDSHAKER will stand from July through March at the Ficklings Rivoli Farms in Macon and will return to Middle Tennessee during the peak breeding season there .

Literally “ bred in the Purple ” . . . HANDSHAKER is already an established proven sire of top colts , having bred actively be the Wolaver Stables since his outstanding victory in 1960 . There are several key factors regarding HANDSHAKER colts that are significant . HAND SHAKER was a natural-going horse with plenty of stamina and bloom . He has proven that he can pass this trait along to his get and mares sired by him are proving to be exceptional producers . By MIDNIGHT MACK K , out of
DEEP PURPLE . . . this fine Tennessee Walking Horse stallion should make a substantial contribution to the breed throughout the South .
HANDSHAKER is now settled comfortably in his new quarters and needless to say , had created quite a bit of activity since his arrival the latter part of July . He was exhibited by Douglas Wolaver at the Annual Macon Georgia Horse Show and was a great attraction for area Walking Horse enthusiasts who had never seen this great horse in action .
All of HANDSHAKERS bookings while at Fickling ’ s Rivoli Farms will be handled by Stallion Manager Jim Edmunds . Anyone seeking information about their program should contact him at the farms in Macon , Georgia . Stud fee on this World Grand Champion is now $ 200 .
