With the Championship left wide open by the entrance of SHAKER ' S SHOCKER in the Grand Championship stake , all the entrants came in with renewed chances . MAN OF RHYTHM with Boyd Hudgins in the irons took advantage of the opportunity to win the class with a consistent and impressive showing . Elmore Brock and MR . GLO were the reserve winners and CLOWN ' S SPUR with Hershel Talley up tied third . These three men staged a red hot duel for the top spot and the crowd was pretty evenly divided in favorites .
